Instructions - Method of Calculation
Basic calculations
- Capital is the initial amount you deposit in the bank.
- The interest rate is always expressed as an annual percentage
- The time period is calculated in days, based on a 365-day year
Calculation Type
Interest = Capital × (Annual Interest Rate / 365) × Number of Days
Interest is calculated daily with daily compounding.
Calculation Example
For a capital of €10,000, with an interest rate of 2% and a duration of 90 days:
Interest = €10,000 × (2% / 365) × 90
Interest = €10,000 × 0.00005479 × 90
Interest = €49.32
